Kitebook Libraryby Kitebook

Privacy

The library stores nothing and sends nothing. Each course keeps progress only in the learner’s own browser.

This library

  • No accounts, sign-up or forms. We never ask for a name, email or age.
  • No cookies, no analytics and no tracking scripts.
  • Nothing is saved in your browser by these pages. The filters are remembered only in the address (the part after the #), which you can share.
  • No outside images. The one outside request is the text font, which your browser fetches from Google Fonts, so Google’s servers see that request.
  • As with any website, the host that serves the pages handles the normal technical details of a visit.

The courses

Each course lives at its own address (such as echo.kitebook.app) and has its own privacy practices, which follow the same rules.

  • Progress and answers are saved in the learner’s own browser, on that device. They are not sent anywhere, and the library does not show them.
  • The “See how it’s built” log of a learner’s choices stays in the browser too.
  • Clearing the browser’s site data clears saved progress. Other browsers and devices do not share it.

Where something is sent or used

  • Echo Live (ages 13 and over; 18 and over in Echo for Work) sends the learner’s message to our chatbot service to get a reply. It is checked for personal details first, is not stored, and its content is not logged. Learners can use the “on my own” route instead.
  • Speak Up asks the browser for the microphone, and in the showcase lesson optionally the camera. This is allowed only on Speak Up pages. A recording is held in the page’s memory on the device, and the courses have no upload step for it.

Children

Children use these courses, so we collect no personal data and keep COPPA and PDPA in mind in everything we build. We are not claiming a certification. Questions are welcome at sales@kitebook.app.
