Kitebook Libraryby Kitebook

For teachers

Everything here is made to run on the devices your class already has. There is nothing to install and nobody signs in.

Using the courses in class

  1. Choose a course. The library filters by age and subject. A filtered view has its own address, so you can share it, such as teens and maths.
  2. Open it on any modern browser. Each course opens on its own home page, where you pick a lesson.
  3. Let learners go at their own pace. Lessons are narrated, so headphones help in a shared room. A wrong answer opens a short path aimed at the idea behind it, then rejoins the main path.
  4. Plan for shared devices. Progress is saved in the browser on that device. Learners who share a browser share saved progress, and clearing the browser's site data clears it.

Find courses for your learners:

Before you start

  • Echo Live (the chat practice inside Echo) is for ages 13 and over, and Echo for Work asks learners to confirm they are 18 or over. Younger learners use the “on my own” route, which needs no live AI.
  • Speak Up can use the microphone for its voice meter, and the showcase lesson can also use the camera. The browser asks first, and only on Speak Up pages. Each lesson says what it needs.

See how it is built

Every lesson has a “See how it’s built” lens (called the Designer view in some courses). It shows the branch map, the choices a learner has made, and the teaching idea behind each step. Use it to see which misconceptions a lesson is aimed at, or to review a lesson before you set it. The log of choices stays in the learner’s browser and is never sent anywhere.

Privacy in plain words

  • There are no accounts, and we do not ask for names, emails or ages.
  • Saved progress and the lens’s log stay in the learner’s own browser.
  • The library has no analytics, no cookies and no tracking.
  • The one place text is sent is Echo Live, to get a reply for learners aged 13 and over. It is checked for personal details first, is not stored, and its content is not logged.

The privacy page has the full list. We design with COPPA and PDPA in mind; we are not claiming a certification.
